Day 6 - Fatu Hiva

It was an early arrival to Fatu Hiva. The only access to this beautiful island is by Sea, since there is no Airport. We were welcomed by the villagers of Omoa who proudly showed us the "Tapa" (traditional cloth) and Kumu Hei Monoi (Traditional Oil) making which Fatu Hiva is well known for. With a group of fellow passengers, the Aranui Guides lead us on the 17 km journey to the jaw-dropping Hanavave Bay ( also known as the Bay of Virgins) on foot. On this unforgettable hike, we took in breathtaking views of towering cliffs and majestic waterfalls. Sunset in Hanavavae is a moment of Pure Bliss! We had the best day in Fatu Hiva and we can not wait to go back!
